Mr. Bojangles, everything is settling in the tank and looking OK. (except for the pump problem, which I am fixing tonight) I do have a question. in the last day or two I have seen a growth on the back walls ans sand of this light brown/ goldish color. what can this be?

its probably from the sand and everything settling, just give it a few days. If you want a filter sock will speed it up

I wanted to let you know Water parameters are at 8.4 pH for the last 2 days. water has a slight cloudyness to it. wondering why. I intent to filter it through a sock to see if it will go away. I don't really know if it happened from the stirring of the fine sediment of the rocks. I will check again in the morning.

Sorry to bother you again. I was wondering if you can tell me if this is a good reactor and setup..

MR Bojangles, IYO, what is a better ballast? Coralvue or the lumatek?

This is a great site...hopefully, I will be able to comprehend some of the information. Where do you go for your supplies? Just curious.
